The dust has settled on Yokohama and I’m pleased to walk away with 7th and seeing progression from my race in Bermuda. It turned into the ultimate foot race after all coming together on the bike after the swim did little to seperate the 60 starters.I took risks on the run and went to a dark place from 4km-8km though somehow held it together. It’s about gritting those teeth, focusing on the process and holding on for the ride.
Your body can do weird things when you can draw attention away from the pain and somehow stay in the here and now and focus on what has to be done to keeping pushing! It was pleasing though showed there is work to be done ahead of Leeds WTS in a few weeks.I now sit 9th on the World Series.Oh we back.Back in Vitoria preparing for what lays ahead. I love this place and the environment it provides me to get in my best possible shape! Each year it shows me my Spanglish is still average at best and makes for some interesting communication at points!Anyways here’s to hoping the sun pokes out soon and that endless summer I chase keeps rolling on!Live it love it but don’t waste it!
